Honey garlic salmon

Serves: 2

This took me: 35 minutes

Adapted from: https://www.kitchensanctuary.com/honey-garlic-butter-baked-salmon/

Ingredients

  • Salmon fillet - 4
  • Unsalted butter (melted) - 2 tbsp
  • Garlic (minced) - 4 cloves
  • Honey - 2 tbsp
  • Dried parsley - 0.5 tsp
  • Salt - 0.25 tsp
  • Pepper - 0.25
  • Paprika - pinch
  • Rice (cooked)
  • Lemon (sliced into wedges) - 1 (optional)

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (200°C fan). Line a baking tray with tin foil, making sure the sides are turned up to catch the sauce while baking, and set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together all of the ingredients apart from the salmon and lemon wedges.
  3. Place the salmon fillets skin-side-down on the baking tray and pour the mixture over the fillets.
  4. Arrange the lemon wedges on and around the salmon and bake for 8 minutes.
  5. Take the salmon our and baste it with any pooled sauce. Put the baking tray back into the over and bake for another 4-7 minutes until the salmon is cooked.
  6. Serve with rice.
