Korean beef bowl

Ingredients
- Onion (diced) - 1
- Brown sugar - 0.25 cups
- Soy sauce - 0.25 cups
- Sesame oil - 2 tsp
- Chilli oil/chilli flakes - to taste
- Ground ginger - 0.25 tsp
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Vegetable oil (or another flavourless oil)
- Minced beef/turkey/pork/whatever meat you like - 500 g
- Cooked rice
Steps
- Fry the diced onion in a wok with oil at medium heat until lightly browned. While this is cooking, stir the brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, chilli oil/chilli flakes and ground ginger together in a small bowl.
- Push the onion to the sides of the wok and add the garlic. Cook for a minute while stirring constantly.
- Add mince and raised heat to medium-high. Regularly stir until cooked through then drain the excess fat.
- Stir the soy sauce mixture in and cook for 2 minutes.
- Serve with rice.
