Spaghetti Bolognese

Ingredients
- Olive oil
- Garlic (minced) - 4 cloves
- Onion (diced) - 2
- Minced beef/turkey/pork/whatever meat you like - 500 g
- Beef bouillon/stock cubes - 2
- Diced/crushed tomatoes - 400 g
- Tomato paste - 2 tbsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 2 tsp
- Dried bay leaves - 2
- Dried thyme - 0.5 tsp
- Salt and pepper
- Spaghetti (cooked) - 400 g
- Dry red wine - 125 ml (optional)
- White/brown sugar - 2 tsp (optional)
- Parmesan cheese (to serve) (optional)
- Parsley (to serve) (optional)
Steps
- Fry the onions in olive oil on medium heat until lightly browned.
- Add Garlic and cook for 2 minutes before turning the heat up to high and adding the mince. Cook until the mince is browned.
- Add the wine, bring it to a simmer, and cook for 1 minute.
- Add the remaining ingredients except for salt, pepper, spaghetti, parmesan cheese, and parsley. Bring to a simmer, then reduce the heat to medium. Cook for 20-30 minutes without a lid.
- Add salt and pepper to taste and serve with spaghetti, parmesan cheese, and parsley.
